Cloth & Paper • Marcie Bronkar brings her signature modern glamour to every facet of her collections. With the recent launch of Cloth & Paper, Marcie and her team provide a full service design lab of visionary design, couture quality craftsmanship and premier service to their coveted design clientele. The featured line of decorative fabrics and wall coverings are represented throughout the country in premium showrooms to the trade. Home Couture • The founder in 1992 and Creative Director of Home Couture, Marcie’s Home Couture Collection graces celebrity homes across the globe. De rigueur with A-list interior designers including John Saladino, Clodagh, Thierry Despont, Healing Barsanti, Mariette Hines-Gomes, Victoria Hagan, Barbara Barry, Thomas Pheasant, Geoffrey De Sousa and Jeffrey Bilhuber, Marcie’s luxurious fabrics are highlighted in virtually every major design magazine. Licensing • A leader in licensing, Marcie launched the home furnishing industry’s first licensed designer name bedding collection. Under her direction, the Perry Ellis brand exploded with record-setting sales for West Point Stevens. Following that success, she led the Bill Blass bedding brand into the #1 slot at retail nationwide for Springs Industries. Under the name Marcie Bronkar several successful collections were licensed and marketed for Wallcovering Books, Decorative Fabrics, Bed Ensembles and Fine China prior to the launch of the HOME COUTURE brand. Home Furnishing Advisor • With Marcie on board as exclusive design consultant, Paloma Picasso’s landmark home furnishing collection was a hit at upscale U.S. and European department stores throughout the 1990’s. Marcie currently sits on the board of several design focus groups in the U.S. and Europe. Museum • Working with curators at The Metropolitan Museum of Art, Cooper-Hewitt, Brooklyn Museum, American Crafts Museum, Textile Museum, Musee des Arts Decoratifs and Victoria and Albert Museum, Marcie designed several decorative fabrics collections for Bloomcraft Fabrics, swelling the company’s flagging sales. P. Kaufmann bought Bloomcraft where Marcie remained as V.P. Design. The Musee des Arts Decoratifs Collection she created for Kaufmann is one of the most profitable (and copied) looks in retail history. Honors and Awards • Marcie’s textile patterns are part of the Permanent Collection of the Cooper Hewitt Museum in NYC. Cody Award, 1988, 1989, Cotton Inc. She is a member of the Decorative Fabrics Association, Foundation for Design Integrity, ACT and is an ASID Allied member. A founding member of the Textile Designers Guild, Marcie has taught at Parsons School of Design and the Fashion Institute of Technology.
